Kankia was born in Tbilisi — a city where craftsmanship has been a way of life for centuries. Every bag, every strap, every stitch is the work of hands that care deeply about what they make.

We source only full-grain hides, dye by hand, and age our leathers naturally. There are no assembly lines here — just a small team of artisans committed to making things that last a lifetime.

How We Work

The Process

Select the Hide

We hand-pick full-grain hides for grain, thickness, and natural markings — every hide tells its own story.

Cut by Hand

Patterns are traced and cut with a sharp blade, never a press. Each piece fits perfectly because each cut is deliberate.

Stitch & Shape

Saddle-stitched by hand using waxed linen thread for strength. Forms are shaped over wooden molds to hold their structure.

Finish & Inspect

Edges burnished, leather conditioned, and every piece inspected against our standards before it leaves the workshop.
